Sanju Samson, one of the most talented batsmen in limited-overs cricket, hasn’t been able to consistently make it into the Indian team, not even in a single format. His absence from the Indian team for the series against Sri Lanka was caused by an injury. Fans questioned Suryakumar Yadav about where their “Sanju” was during the third ODI, which was played in Kerala, the place where Samson grew up. The celebrity batter’s response undoubtedly captured the hearts of the crowd.

When supporters had the chance to speak with Suryakumar, he was close to the boundary rope. “Where is our Sanju?” was heard being uttered by a supporter. Surya responded to the query by pointing to his heart, astounding the audience. Since then, the video has gained popularity on social media.

Samson was unable to play in the full series, but after shining in the T20I series against the Lankans, Suryakumar was selected for the third ODI. However, the opposing batsman was only able to score 4 runs off of 4 balls, and the Indian team posted a final score of 390/5.

Regarding the game, Virat Kohl, who led India to the largest-ever ODI victory against Sri Lanka by 317 runs on Sunday, scored his 46th ODI century and 74th overall. The former skipper announced his return as a run machine in style by ending the previous year with an ODI century against Bangladesh and starting 2023 with another 113 against Sri Lanka. Last year, Kohli went through a protracted slump during which he failed to reach triple digits for more than a thousand days.
