On Day 2 of the ongoing first Test between the teams, Bangladesh batter Litton Das and India pacer Mohammed Siraj got into a fight. Siraj bowled the first ball of the 14th over during the match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, and Litton successfully guarded it. The pacer approached the batter and spoke with him after that. The Bangladeshi player then walked over to Siraj while slyly indicating that he hadn’t heard anything, but the umpire stepped in and ejected the bowler.
It was made much more intriguing by Siraj’s dismissal of Litton on the very next ball. Siraj’s ball had a wobbly seam and stayed low, but Litton ultimately got an edge and played it on his stumps for a score of 24. In response to what had happened between the two, Siraj shared what he had said to Litton just prior to the delivery that resulted in Litton’s dismissal. “I just said T20 format nahi hai. Yeh Test cricket hai toh play sensible cricket (I just said it is not the T20 format. This is Test cricket so play sensibly),” said Siraj to media in a press conference.
