He took the place of wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who had returned from the first game in Chattogram with match-winning statistics of 8/113 as India won by a score of 188 runs.
On December 16, 2010, 12 years and 2 days ago, Unadkat played in his first Test match at Centurion against South Africa. He missed 118 Test matches in total, the most by an Indian and the second-most in cricket history. In the history of Test cricket, only England’s Gareth Batty (142 missed games) has missed more games than Unadkat.
