Since suffering a knee injury during the Asia Cup in September 2022, veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been out of commission. He then had a knee injury and sought treatment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). However, the 34-year-old all-rounder is now in Chennai with Team Saurashtra for their final league stage of the Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. He has been picked in India’s squad for the first two Tests of the four-match series against Australia.

The Chennai Super Kings fans were thrilled when Jadeja, a significant member of the IPL team, published a short tweet upon his arrival in the city. “Vanakkam Chennai,” Jadeja wrote.

Seeing the tweet, a fan commented, “Chennai welcome Jadeja my CSK favourite man you.”

“Vanakkam to my fav person my idol my role model. Lion is coming back on field,” wrote another fan.

“Welcome back Super King,” commented another fan.

“Jaddu waiting for your rocking performances…” wrote a fan.

Jadeja suffered a knee injury last year against Hong Kong in an Asia Cup game. His previous first-class game was the postponed one-off Test against England at Edgbaston in July of last year. Since the T20I match against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup on August 31, Jadeja has not participated in any competitive cricket, and his most recent first-class game was the rescheduled one-off Test at Edgbaston against England in July of last year. The ace all-rounder was not present for India’s humiliating 10-wicket loss to England in the T20 World Cup semi-final last year.
