The ICC's stance on the obstruction to cricket between India and Pakistan is in doubt: Ramiz Raja.

Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, asserted that the International Cricket Council has yet to become involved in the controversy surrounding the wall separating India and Pakistan because of the BCCI’s financial support of the global organisation.

Since 2012, there haven’t been any bilateral series between India and Pakistan because to political tensions between the two nations. However, the two countries continue to compete against one another in ICC competitions, which has attracted a huge audience. Notably, Pakistan has been selected to host the 2023 Asia Cup, but Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary and the president of the ACC, has made it clear that India won’t be attending the competition there. Later, the PCB responded by declaring that they would boycott the Asia Cup if they were denied the opportunity to host it the following year.

Raja has boldly stated a potential solution to the India-Pakistan barrier in his remarks on the subject. Raja pointed out that India’s support of the majority of the ICC’s riches has prevented the international council from adopting a position on the matter. Raja had watched the second Multan Test match between Pakistan and England. He continued by saying that the cricketing community must work diligently to find a solution.

“They are circumspect and not forthcoming because India produces the entire ICC wealth, and so their position, unfortunately, is compromised as a result, I don’t think it’s going to change unless we have a resolve and commitment in every cricket board and our cricket fraternity works towards making it happen,” Raja mentioned in an interview with the National. In the meantime, the most recent T20 World Cup group stage encounter between India and Pakistan came down to the final ball, with the outcome being decided.
